EXPERIENCES
Community service is something that I am very passionate about. I have been doing Community Service around Hong Kong and also my school. I have participated in multiple events and helped setup several events and concerts. In my school, I am a member of the SDLT (Student Digital Leadership Team), our role is to help set up school events such as Pumpkin Festival, World’s Fair, School musicals, Schools concerts, and drama plays. Outside of school, I also volunteer with Hands on HK, and ImpactHK to help do beach cleanups. Did you know that the percentage of pollution for Hong Kong beaches have increased by 1.3% each year? If you put that into perspective, in 10 years it would increase by 13%, which is a lot. I love to volunteer my time to fix this issue and save as many of my beaches as possible. I also have done many giving warmth service opportunities to people in poverty. Hong Kong has reached 20% of people living in poverty within the first quarter of 2023. I have been giving warmth to the community because I want to give back to others, and seeing the people’s faces light up just makes me really happy. I also enjoy talking to these people and asking them about their experiences

SDLT (Student Digital Leadership Team) is a school activity that I have been doing for 2 years. I have learned multiple skills from this too, such as videography, photography and learning about the lenses, settings and focus controls. After learning these skills for over a year, I have been able to film videos for my school, such as recently recording a promo video for our school’s play. After a year of gathering experiences, I applied to be a leader for the SDLT, and after being elected, I am able to teach a new group of students how everything works. I love being able to organize meetings and help students improve their photography and cinematography skills.
